Ben and I applied for medical supplies through a company called Medical Bridges. Medical bridges is a Houston based company that collects old/expired medical supplies specifically for redistribution to third world countries. They gave us a massive amount of supplies, probably over 100 lbs worth. We were super excited. I went and picked it up this morning. I had sent them a list of medications that the clinic in Ghana needed. Everything from diabetic supplies, blood pressure meds, topical antifungals, antibiotics, steroids, to multivitamins. They gave us everything we requested and more. They also gave us tons of sutures, surgical supplies, IV kits, surgical gowns, you name it. Several thousand dollars worth of stuff. I'm blown away. And, well, kind of concerned as to if I'll be able to ship it all. But we'll figure it out.
